Sunrise

Sunrise is the dynamic Melbourne-based duo formed by vocalist, guitarist and DJ Elise and singer-songwriter and looping artist Marcus — a collaboration born live on national television.

Originally booked by Aura Music as separate solo artists for a Channel 7 Sunrise live cross in coastal Lorne, the pair met for the first time just moments before going to air. With only 90 seconds allocated to both chat and perform, they quickly realised the only way it would work was to choose a song they both knew and improvise their way through it together. The result was a seamless live-to-air performance that felt effortless, natural and electric — and the beginning of Sunrise as a duo.

Individually, both artists are highly regarded across Melbourne’s live music scene. Elise is known for her soulful vocals, guitar work and ability to shift from acoustic elegance to DJ-driven energy, performing at major events including the AFL, Australian Open and Grand Prix. Marcus, originally from the Philippines, brings over a decade of professional experience, blending rich vocals and masterful live looping into full-bodied acoustic performances across corporate events and premier venues.

Together, Sunrise combines polished musicianship, instinctive chemistry and adaptable performance energy, delivering engaging live experiences suited to weddings, corporate events and premium showcases alike.
