Claira J is an accomplished vocalist and dynamic live performer whose career spans over two decades across Australia’s live music, television, and theatre scenes. Known for her powerhouse vocals, magnetic stage presence, and ability to effortlessly cross genres, she continues to captivate audiences at major events, festivals, and venues nationwide.

As a lead vocalist, Claira J has fronted numerous bands, trios and duos and performed at prestigious locations including Rod Laver Arena, Federation Square, Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Flemington Racecourse, The Glasshouse, Burswood Dome, Falls Festival Lorne, Grazeland, SOAK, and countless high end corporate, private events, weddings and bars. Her professionalism and versatility have made her a trusted artist for agencies, venues, and clients seeking a top tier performer who brings both energy and elegance to every stage.

In 2021, Claira J released her debut single Letting Go, which reached #16 on the Australian Independent Record Charts and earned radio play and interviews on 89.9 The Light and the Hit Network with Hughesy, Ed & Erin. She has also featured as a session vocalist for artists including Yoülk, Milandra, Jonny Sonic, and Clint X Morgan, and continues to collaborate on new music projects across genres.

Beyond her live music career, Claira J’s versatility extends to stage and screen. She made her television debut as series regular Tessa in Rebel Wilson’s Bogan Pride (SBS), with subsequent roles in Wentworth, Neighbours, and Netflix’s Superwog. Her film credits include the Best Film winner The Emu War (Monster Fest 2023), Angel of Light, Subclass 417, and An Act of Love.

A graduate of WAAPA (BA, Musical Theatre), The National Theatre Melbourne (Cert. Musical Theatre), and the Howard Fine Acting Studio (Cert. Acting), Claira J has performed in acclaimed stage productions such as Elegies – A Song Cycle, Mary Bryant, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Countdown, and Monash in Love and War and most recently as part of Angie Stapleton’s The Poptease Divas trio.

In addition to performing, Claira J is a sort after vocal coach/technician and artist mentor, certified through New York Vocal Coaching. As the director of Claira J Coaching, she supports artists and singers in developing solid foundation through mind, body and voice, along with finding confidence, freedom, and authenticity – both on stage and in life.
